Vietnamese U23 defender unexpectedly moves down to play in the First Division

As per the most recent update, defender Le Van Ha has finalized a deal to join Bac Ninh Club for the rest of the 2025/26 First Division campaign.

"Bac Ninh Football Club officially welcomes defender Le Van Ha to the team, strengthening the squad for the remaining journey of the 2025/26 National First Division season," the club, with Coach Park Hang Seo as an advisor, posted on its official website.

Le Van Ha born in 2004, is a product of the Hanoi FC youth academy and has previously played in the V-League. Possessing an impressive height of 1.84m, the young defender stands out with his robust playing style, good situational judgment, and solid defensive reliability.

During his career development, Van Ha was called up to the Vietnam U20 team for the 2023 AFC U20 Asian Cup. Recently, the 2004-born player was part of the Vietnam U23 squad for the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship and the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup. In the final match against South Korea U23, Van Ha was given the opportunity to start by Coach Kim Sang Sik, contributing to the team's eventual third-place finish.

However, at the club level, Van Ha has struggled to secure a place among the star-studded lineup of Hanoi FC. Last season, he made four appearances for the capital city club, and this season he has not played a single minute. By joining Bac Ninh Club, Van Ha will gain more playing opportunities, allowing him to hone both his skills and experience.

For Bac Ninh Club, the addition of Le Van Ha is expected to bolster the defensive line's steel and depth, helping the team and his new teammates pursue their objectives for the current season.
