Ruben Amorim and his assistants in the coaching team may get as much as £15.9 million in severance pay from MU following their sacking last month.
Amorim, 41, had his contract terminated by MU on January 5th after only 14 months in charge at Old Trafford, and his five assistants also left the club.
Daily Mail Sport revealed he received a £10 million payout after being summoned to the Carrington training center and informed of the dismissal decision by Football Director Jason Wilcox and Chief Executive Omar Berrada.

Coach Ruben Amorim was sacked by MU
A filing submitted to the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday stated that terminating the contracts of Amorim and his assistants could cost up to £15.9 million. This figure is cited as the maximum, and the exact amount will depend on various factors, including whether Amorim secures new employment within a specified period.
The compensation package for Amorim brings the total cost of appointing and then dismissing him to nearly £27 million.
MU spent £8.3 million to release Amorim from his contract with Sporting Lisbon in October 2024, plus an additional £900,000 to allow him to start work early. He signed a contract worth £6.5 million per year until June 2027, meaning the compensation for the remaining contract period is approximately £10.05 million.
Previously, the club had spent £14.5 million after sacking Erik ten Hag and parting ways with Sporting Director Dan Ashworth. If required to pay the full compensation to Amorim and his coaching staff, the total amount MU spends on dismissing managers and executives would approach £30 million in just 15 months.
Amorim left MU a day after a tense press conference following the 1-1 draw with Leeds, where he publicly criticized the club's leadership. He also had a disagreement with Wilcox in a meeting three days before the away trip to Elland Road.
MU made the decision amid concerns the team might fail to qualify for the Champions League. Amorim was temporarily replaced by Darren Fletcher before the club appointed Michael Carrick. Carrick has won 5 and drawn 1 in his 6 matches in charge, improving MU's chances of returning to Europe's top competition.
"The Red Devils" currently sit in fourth place and are the Premier League team with the most points in this calendar year, with 18.
The top five in the Premier League this season will qualify for the Champions League, and MU are 3 points ahead of Liverpool in sixth place.
Amorim won only 25 of his 63 matches in charge, finishing the season in 15th place in the Premier League before losing to Tottenham in the Europa League final last May.
