Eileen Gu's first public appearance after the Winter Olympics, sharing historic moments with fans worldwide

On February 23 local time, TCL’s global brand ambassador Eileen Gu visited the TCL "Snow Velvet Wonderland" Milan Winter Olympics-themed pavilion and interacted with fans and media present. It is important to note that this was Eileen Gu’s first public appearance after this Winter Olympics and the only media-fan engagement she participated in post-competition.

"Freestyle skiing, like every sport, serves as a means to foster self-confidence. My greatest wish is to introduce this sport to more people, especially young women. Because sports have given me great confidence, I hope others can experience the same," Eileen Gu said on site. "Breaking boundaries is very tangible in freestyle skiing; every new trick pushes limits. I challenge my limits every day and haven’t reached my peak yet."

In August last year, she officially became TCL’s global brand ambassador and a member of the TCL team athletes, also invited by TCL to participate in the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics torch relay. On January 19 this year, Eileen Gu took part as a torchbearer for the Milan Winter Olympics.

The TCL "Snow Velvet Wonderland" Milan Winter Olympics-themed pavilion is located at Piazza Duca d’Aosta, Milan Central Station, Italy. It is reported that the TCL "Snow Velvet Wonderland" Milan Winter Olympics-themed pavilion is open not only to Milan residents, global tourists, and Winter Olympics spectators but also attracts international media, officials from international sports organizations, numerous celebrities, and KOLs. At the opening ceremony on February 5, IOC President Thomas Bach personally visited and highly praised the cutting-edge TCL technologies displayed. Representatives from the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee, 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Committee, FIBA, China’s General Administration of Sport, China Central Television, and the Chinese Olympic Committee also visited subsequently, expressing strong interest in TCL’s efforts to integrate technology with sports.

Meanwhile, Xu Mengtao became the first freestyle skiing aerials athlete to successfully defend her title, creating a new Winter Olympics record. Looking ahead, TCL team members will continue to appear at the Paralympic Games starting on March 6.

During this Winter Olympics, many TCL team members connected with their friends and family through TCL’s large-screen HD TVs in the “Athlete Moments” live sessions to share their competition experiences. Moreover, TCL provided critical technology and infrastructure services for the Winter Olympics broadcast, creating an "Olympic Screen Universe." For example, TCL supplied hundreds of large-screen HD TVs, digital signage, and LED screens to the International Broadcast Center (IBC) for broadcasting during the games. TCL display products were also widely deployed across the opening and closing ceremony venues, competition arenas, broadcast centers, media centers, Olympic Village, and security operation centers, significantly enhancing the experience for athletes and spectators alike.
