The person mentioned is Frank Ilett, owner of the social media account “The United Strand.” Since October 2024, he declared he would not cut his hair until Man Utd won five consecutive matches across all competitions. It seemed the 16-month-long challenge was about to end as United secured four straight wins under Carrick, but the draw against West Ham reset everything.

Right after the final whistle, Man City’s official social media account in the US posted a picture of Erling Haaland with his signature long blond hair, accompanied by a cryptic caption: “Growing long hair isn’t wrong.” A short sentence but enough to stir the online community, especially MU fans disappointed that their team missed the chance to complete a five-win streak.

The match at London Stadium was intense as expected. West Ham played disciplined football and took the lead through Tomas Soucek, assisted by Jarrod Bowen. Man Utd struggled but managed to secure a point thanks to a late equalizer from Benjamin Sesko.
