The Vietnam Women’s National Team was defeated 0-2 by China in the friendly match in Shenzhen.

At 6:00 PM on February 10 (Vietnam time), the Vietnam Women’s National Team played a friendly against China at the Shenzhen Youth Football Training Center.

Facing a top Asian opponent, Coach Mai Đức Chung started with goalkeeper Trần Thị Kim Thanh and players Hoàng Thị Loan, Lê Thị Diễm My, Trần Thị Thu, Trần Thị Duyên, Thái Thị Thảo, Cù Thị Huỳnh Như, Nguyễn Thị Thanh Nhã, Nguyễn Thị Bích Thùy, Ngân Thị Vạn Sự, and Phạm Hải Yến.

Vietnam began the match proactively, striving to implement their tactics and maintain tight defense under pressure from the hosts. At the 30th minute, China scored the opening goal. In the second half, the home team increased the pressure and extended their lead to 2-0 in the 46th minute.

To strengthen the squad and test formations, Coach Mai Đức Chung made several substitutions in the second half. Huỳnh Như, Nguyễn Thị Hoa, Trần Thị Thu Thảo, Dương Thị Vân, Vũ Thị Hoa, Nguyễn Thị Trúc Hương, and Trần Nhật Lan were brought on. Despite creating some chances, the Vietnamese players could not break through the Chinese defense. The match ended with a 2-0 victory for China.

According to the schedule, the two teams will play another friendly on February 13. This provides the Vietnam Women’s National Team coaching staff an opportunity to continue evaluating the squad and perfect the lineup before returning home to prepare for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup finals in Australia this March.
