The noble gesture of the former Chairman of the Đông Á Thanh Hoá FC Supporters Association

Mr. Hải Quan, the former Chairman of the Đông Á Thanh Hoá FC Supporters Association, has officially launched a fundraising campaign to help the players and coaching staff have a warmer Tet holiday after a tough season.

Recently, the financial hardships faced by Đông Á Thanh Hoá FC are no longer unfamiliar to fans. However, what moves many is the players’ resilient fighting spirit. Instead of striking or skipping training as seen in some other teams, the Đông Á Thanh Hoá squad continues to play with fiery passion, giving their all for the club’s colors and the pride of Thanh Hoá football.

Notably, many players in the current squad are not originally from Thanh Hoá. Nonetheless, they hold hands tightly, fight bravely, regard Thanh Hoá stadium as their home, and dedicate themselves with full responsibility and honor as professional players. Following the recent victory over Ho Chi Minh City Police Club, Mr. Nguyễn Hải Quan proactively transferred 5 million VND to coach Mai Xuân Hợp as timely encouragement and support for the difficulties the entire team is facing. This act inspired many supporters to express their willingness to contribute, pooling small amounts to share the financial burden with the players and coaching staff ahead of the Lunar New Year.

In response to this unity, Mr. Nguyễn Hải Quan decided to create a separate account to serve as a bridge to receive support from fans. All collected funds will be directly transferred to the coaching staff and players of Đông Á Thanh Hoá FC before Tet. The donation period extends until noon on the 26th day of the lunar calendar, corresponding to February 13, 2026. That afternoon, he will personally hand over the entire amount to the team to promptly assist the players in returning home for Tet.
