Returning home to recover, Hiểu Minh eagerly signs autographs for young fans

Back home to recuperate following a successful operation, central defender Nguyễn Hiểu Minh was warmly welcomed and admired by numerous young supporters from his hometown.

After undergoing surgery and treatment in Ho Chi Minh City, central defender Nguyễn Hiểu Minh returned to his hometown to rest and recover from his injury. The presence of the PVF-CAND player quickly drew special attention from neighbors, especially young fans who continuously approached him for autographs and photos with the young Vietnamese football defender.

Although still moving with crutches after the surgery, Hiểu Minh remained friendly and patiently signed autographs and chatted with the children. The image of the U23 Vietnam defender being simple and approachable amidst a crowd of young fans shows the special affection he receives, not only for his skills on the field but also for his lifestyle and behavior off the pitch.

Being warmly welcomed by young fans became a great source of encouragement for Hiểu Minh, especially during this difficult period as he recovers from a serious injury.

Previously, the 2004-born defender successfully underwent surgery in Ho Chi Minh City. According to medical staff, the operation lasted nearly two hours, during which doctors reconstructed the anterior cruciate ligament and treated meniscus damage in the knee.

The surgery was considered successful, enabling Hiểu Minh to start the recovery process according to a specialized medical plan. However, this injury requires the PVF-CAND defender to take a long break from playing. Experts estimate that Hiểu Minh will need about nine months before he can train intensively again.

This means he will miss the entire current season and several important upcoming campaigns with the national teams. Notably, the Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers, where Vietnam faces Malaysia on March 31, as well as the ASEAN Cup 2026 scheduled for July.

Despite facing a challenging recovery period, the love and support from fans, especially young ones in his hometown, serve as a strong motivation for Hiểu Minh to persist through difficulties and aim for a strong comeback on the field.
