The mid-season schedule adjustment is causing varied impacts on the teams in the V-League 2025/26.
In this overall context, CLB SHB Đà Nẵng stands out as a unique case, entering the Bính Ngọ Tet holiday early while positioned at the bottom of the table and unable to improve their ranking before the long break.
According to the new plan from the organizers, Round 13 of the V-League 2025/26 will take place from February 7 to 9. After this round, teams will have about two weeks off to celebrate the Lunar New Year before resuming with postponed Round 10 matches on February 24. However, CLB SHB Đà Nẵng will not participate in Round 13 because their match against Công An Hà Nội has been postponed to the end of March. This is due to the capital team needing to focus on the AFC Cup competition.
Not playing in Round 13 means CLB SHB Đà Nẵng officially “starts Tet earlier” than the other teams. Under Coach Lê Đức Tuấn, the team will enter the break while sitting at the bottom of the standings with 7 points halfway through the season. Nevertheless, the gap between Đà Nẵng and the teams above is narrow, only 1 point, keeping the relegation battle very uncertain.
Instead of taking a full rest, the Han River team will continue training until the 25th day of the lunar calendar, corresponding to February 12, 2026. After that, the whole squad will regroup on the 4th day of Tet, which is February 20, to prepare for Round 14 of the V-League. This period is considered crucial for the coaching staff to review the squad, adjust tactics, and help players regain confidence after some disappointing results.
Regarding this unusual schedule, Coach Lê Đức Tuấn admitted: "Coming back to play one match and then having to rest again definitely affects us. Especially since Đà Nẵng recently had a rather unfortunate loss to Hoàng Anh Gia Lai."
After Tet, CLB SHB Đà Nẵng faces a pivotal challenge when hosting PVF CAND at home on February 28. This match is regarded as a “reverse final” directly impacting the bottom group standings. Notably, this will be the first time the Han River team plays at Chi Lăng Stadium under its new name, promising to boost the entire squad’s motivation.
Holding onto 7 points going into Tet, CLB SHB Đà Nẵng will temporarily sit out Round 13 and watch the outcomes of their rivals. Right after the break, all eyes will turn to Chi Lăng Stadium, where the Han River team hopes to make a strong comeback in this season’s V-League survival battle.
