Ronaldo has been 'invited' to join Argentina's legendary club

Amid rumors about Cristiano Ronaldo potentially leaving Al Nassr, fans have once again been sparked with hope about the prospect of him joining the team they eagerly await.

In recent days, speculation about Cristiano Ronaldo's possible departure from Al Nassr has intensified. With the Portuguese superstar's future still uncertain, River Plate supporters have once again stirred social media with their familiar call: CR7 to River.

The connection between Ronaldo and River Plate actually started years ago, beginning with photos of him wearing the club’s jersey and his kind remarks about the team based in Núñez. The story peaked last year when coach Marcelo Gallardo revealed that he had personally reached out to invite Ronaldo to play for them and that CR7 himself considered the offer.

Nevertheless, Ronaldo ultimately chose to extend his contract with Al Nassr until June 30, 2027. However, both in Europe and the Middle East, many sources remain doubtful about his future and do not rule out the possibility of Ronaldo leaving the Saudi club either during this transfer window or next summer. Al Hilal signed Pablo Mari from Fiorentina, brought in Kader Meita from Rennes, and convinced Karim Benzema to leave Al Ittihad and added young talent Bouabre from Neom.
