The teammate and fellow countryman of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr made headlines by appearing in the Argentina national team kit of Lionel Messi.
Recently, forward Joao Felix attracted public attention with a surprising move on his personal Snapchat account. Specifically, the Portuguese star posted a photo of himself wearing a jacket featuring the emblem and lettering of the Argentina national team.
This detail quickly drew interest because Felix is a compatriot and close associate of Cristiano Ronaldo, not only in the Portugal national team but also at Al Nassr. Given the long-standing rivalry between Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, the Argentine superstar, which is always a hot topic, Felix appearing in attire linked to Argentina made fans especially intrigued.
Notably, the timing of Felix's post coincided with Ronaldo being embroiled in multiple controversies at Al Nassr. The 1985-born forward is believed to have skipped training and matches due to dissatisfaction with the club's transfer activities and opposition to certain decisions by the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
Following Felix's action, the current state of his relationship with Ronaldo remains uncertain. However, it is almost certain that the former Benfica and Atletico Madrid player will face criticism from some CR7 fans for wearing a jersey considered sensitive.
Since moving to Al Nassr last summer, Felix has somewhat regained his form. The 1999-born star has scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists in 29 appearances, helping Al Nassr qualify for the AFC Champions League Round of 16 and fiercely contest the Saudi Pro League title.
Meanwhile, despite being 40 years old, Ronaldo continues to demonstrate impressive scoring ability. In 22 matches across all competitions, the Portuguese superstar has netted 18 goals and contributed 3 assists.
Of these, 17 goals were scored by Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League, ranking just behind Al Ahli's Ivan Toney, who leads the scoring chart with 18 goals. After 19 rounds, Al Nassr stands right behind Al Hilal in the standings, trailing the top team by only one point as Al Hilal has 47 points.
Ronaldo's remaining club goal this season came in the Arab Super Cup. Although he scored, Al Nassr's coach Jorge Jesus still lost to Al Ahli on penalties in the final.
