Midfielder Nguyen Thai Son suffered a serious incident during the CAHN match against Ninh Binh FC. Entering the field at the start of the second half, he was injured just minutes later while retreating to defend. Medical examination revealed an anterior cruciate ligament tear, forcing the 2003-born player to contemplate medical intervention.

Immediately after the match, Thai Son was taken by his club to a local medical facility for examination and monitoring. His spirit remained steady, and vital signs were stable in preparation for the next phase of treatment. The coaching staff of Ninh Binh FC is working closely with the medical team to optimize the recovery plan for the key midfielder.

According to Thanh Nien Newspaper, Thai Son wishes to undergo surgery in Ho Chi Minh City with Dr. Pham Quoc Hung. This doctor is trusted by many young national players due to his experience handling complex ligament tears, especially cases requiring rapid recovery to meet the season's demands.

Previously, two U23 Vietnam players, Van Truong and Hieu Minh, had surgery with this team and showed positive recovery signs. Van Truong quickly regained good knee flexion and nearly normal daily activities after a short period. Many other players have also returned to play after following the correct treatment protocol.

If all goes well, Thai Son will receive specialized care and monitoring at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. His expected return to play is around 6-8 months, depending on his body's response and rehabilitation intensity.

Losing Thai Son adds pressure to the midfield both at the club and youth national team levels. However, a systematic treatment and adherence to the rehabilitation plan may help him shorten his comeback time. The realistic goal is to return at the start of the next season when his fitness and match rhythm are ready.
