Dinh Bac's team requests to postpone V-League matches due to AFC objectives

With a packed schedule in the Shoppe Cup and AFC Champions League Two, CAHN's request to delay the 13th round of the V-League has been approved.

Hanoi Police Club has officially received notice from the V.League organizers about the adjustment of the 13th round schedule, as the team is currently stretched thin competing in multiple international tournaments.

According to confirmation from SHB Da Nang Club, the match between the two teams originally set for February 9 has been mutually agreed to be postponed to a new date: 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Chi Lang Stadium.

The schedule change decision stems from CAHN’s proposal, as the capital’s team is simultaneously participating in the ASEAN Shopee Cup and AFC Champions League 2. The dense match calendar in February, with games on February 4 in the Shopee Cup and two crucial continental fixtures on February 11 and 18, forced CAHN’s management to carefully plan to ensure the team’s fitness and best preparation.

The match between SHB Da Nang and CAHN has been rescheduled to March 22 by the organizers

From the organizers’ perspective, approving the postponement is a reasonable move to support Vietnamese clubs representing the nation in regional and Asian competitions. This flexible scheduling has become a common practice in recent seasons to accommodate shared goals.

However, this decision unfortunately impacts striker Dinh Bac personally. The delay of the 13th round match means the young player must wait longer for his first goal opportunity in this V.League season.

Dinh Bac was highly anticipated to soon reach a memorable milestone wearing the CAHN jerseyespecially after his positive performances in other tournaments, but the schedule change has temporarily interrupted those plans.

Dinh Bac is still searching for his first goal in the 2025/26 V.League season

In the upcoming period, coach Mano Polking’s team will face a special series of matches as they meet Tampines Rovers from Singapore three times within less than half a month, including one Shopee Cup game and two AFC Champions League Two knockout legs. This presents a major challenge, as Tampines Rovers are known for disciplined play, strong stamina, and quick transitions.

When playing away, the Singaporean side usually adopts a cautious approach, organizing dense defense and waiting for opponents’ mistakes. This poses a significant challenge for CAHN’s offense, especially as the team must rotate players to maintain fitness.

Nevertheless, with the advantage of playing at Hang Day Stadium and the support of the capital’s fans, CAHN still has a solid foundation to aim for positive results in international competitions. For Dinh Bac, missing this V.League milestone is just a necessary pause before he gets more chances to prove himself ahead.
