VFF continues to extend the contract with the Japanese expert

The Vietnam Football Federation officially signed a contract extension with Mr. Koshida Takeshi as the Technical Director of VFF.

On February 2, 2026, the Vietnam Football Federation officially renewed the contract with Mr. Koshida Takeshi in the position of Technical Director of the Vietnam Football Federation. The signing ceremony was attended by VFF Secretary General Nguyen Van Phu along with representatives from various functional departments of VFF.

Mr. Koshida Takeshi, a Japanese national, officially took on the role of Technical Director of VFF from June 1, 2023. He was nominated by the Technical Committee of the Japan Football Association and is known as an experienced football expert, professionally trained with a Pro Coaching license and over 30 years of experience in coaching and technical management at both senior national teams and youth levels. With his extensive practical experience, Mr. Koshida has also been trusted by the Japan Football Association to participate in national coaching education, directly teaching at C, B, and A level coaching courses.

Since assuming the role of Technical Director of VFF, Mr. Koshida Takeshi has participated as an instructor in many coaching training courses and professional seminars organized by VFF; he has also closely collaborated with the technical department and coaching staff of the national youth teams to guide, build, and develop the Vietnamese youth football training system.

He is also directly responsible for training human resources for Vietnamese football, especially young coaches, technical directors at clubs and football centers, contributing to improving professional quality, updating modern international football coaching trends and methods, thereby narrowing the development gap between Vietnamese football and regional and global standards.

Speaking at the contract renewal ceremony, Mr. Koshida Takeshi shared: “Since signing my contract with VFF in June 2023, over the past three years, I have participated in training many courses with about 300 trainees. I would like to thank the VFF leadership for always creating favorable conditions and support so that I could complete this workload. Moving forward, with the trust of VFF and the participation of more colleagues from Japan, I hope to continue fulfilling my duties well and contribute more to the development of Vietnamese football.”

The contract extension with Mr. Koshida Takeshi reflects VFF’s trust and consistent direction in a sustainable development strategy, focusing on training and improving human resource quality as the foundation for the long-term growth of Vietnamese football.
