Assistant Coach Phạm Thành Lương openly discussed the media focus on forward Nguyễn Đình Bắc in recent times.

During CAHN's victory over Ninh Bình FC in the 12th round of the V-League, the spotlight was largely on the group of players returning from Vietnam U23, with Nguyễn Đình Bắc standing out the most.

The 2004-born striker was not in the starting lineup and only came on in the last 15 minutes. Despite limited playing time, the 2026 U23 Asian Golden Boot winner still managed to make a noticeable impact, demonstrating quick adaptation and strong connection with teammates.

At the post-match press conference, Assistant Coach Phạm Thành Lương was asked if the coaching staff had any measures to help Đình Bắc stay humble and avoid complacency after recent successes. In response, the former Hanoi player calmly stated: "For the coaching staff and myself, we are the ones closest to Đình Bắc and understand him best. In 2025, Đình Bắc emerged as one of the most outstanding faces in Vietnamese football. The Nghệ An native played a vital role in the successful journey of Vietnam U23, winning consecutive titles like the Southeast Asian U23 Championship, SEA Games 33 gold medal, and most recently third place at the 2026 U23 Asian Championship. At the tournament held in Saudi Arabia, Đình Bắc made a strong impression with 4 goals and 2 assists, surpassing many notable names to claim the Golden Boot. This achievement also made him the first Southeast Asian player to reach this milestone in the continental U23 competition.

Putting past controversies aside, Đình Bắc is showing clear growth both professionally and mentally under the guidance of coach Mano Polking at CAHN and coach Kim Sang Sik at various Vietnam national team levels.
