Trung Kiên's value soars, setting a rare milestone for Vietnamese goalkeepers

Goalkeeper Trần Trung Kiên has suddenly experienced a strong rise in market value after a noticeable advancement in his professional journey.

The transfer value of goalkeeper Trần Trung Kiên is becoming a remarkable highlight in Vietnamese football, as he was recently valued at 200,000 euros by the Transfermarkt website. This figure not only reflects his consistent performance but also indicates the impressive progress of a young goalkeeper entering a breakthrough phase in his career.

Less than a year ago, Trung Kiên was valued at only 50,000 euros. The quadrupling of his market value in such a short time is rare for a domestic player, especially in the goalkeeper position. This rise is closely linked to his outstanding performances for the Vietnam U22 team at SEA Games 33 and the U23 Vietnam squad at the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup.

At the tournament held in Saudi Arabia, Trung Kiên made a strong impression with his calm style, sharp reflexes, and improved mental toughness. His crucial saveshelped the Vietnam U23 team secure third place overall, a result that far exceeded initial expectations and gave a major boost to the goalkeeper born in 2002.

At the club level, this new valuation makes Trung Kiên the most valuable domestic player in the current HAGL squad. This is especially significant as the club is focusing on youth development and placing trust in academy graduates. His steady form in the 2025–2026 V-League season, featuring numerous key saves, has helped him maintain the number one spot in goal.

Compared to his senior peers, Trung Kiên’s price sparks interesting comparisons. Even Bùi Tiến Dũng, once a sensation in Vietnamese football, never reached the 200,000-euro mark. Meanwhile, Đặng Văn Lâm is currently valued similarly, and Đình Triệu has never surpassed 150,000 euros. This shows that international experts highly regard the potential of the young HAGL goalkeeper.

At 23 years old, Trung Kiên is entering a crucial phase to gain experience and refine his skills.
