Only 2 years old, a young Man Utd fan sets 2 Guinness World Records

A young supporter of Manchester United has just been officially recognized in history as one of the youngest individuals to simultaneously hold two Guinness World Records.

The prodigy Jude Owens, just two years old, has officially entered the record books as the youngest person to successfully perform two technical shots.

Jude first caught attention last autumn when videos showcasing his skillful cue techniques went viral on social media. As a result, Jude quickly gained a large fanbase and was even affectionately nicknamed the “Ronnie O’Sullivan project” by netizens.

The boy from Manchester has now been acknowledged by Guinness World Records. Specifically, on October 12, 2025, Jude successfully executed an ice shot in pool at the age of 2 years and 302 days. A few weeks earlier, at 2 years and 261 days, he completed a double pot shot in snooker. These achievements make Jude the youngest ever to perform both of these technical shots and one of the youngest holders of two Guinness World Records to date.

When asked about his favorite shot, Jude replied briefly but confidently: “The technical shot”. His father, Luke Owens, shared that Jude has achieved a lot in a very short time, and setting two world records simultaneously was truly a pinnacle moment. He also mentioned that he started playing snooker at age 10, while Jude began at two years old, and according to him, his son has an outstanding natural talent.

Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of Guinness World Records, emphasized that records are for everyone regardless of age. He said it is very special for a young child like Jude to demonstrate such skill, passion, and determination, and Guinness is honored to welcome him into their “big family.”

Luke said he quickly noticed Jude’s talent at home when snooker became his favorite hobby. The moment that truly convinced him was when Jude held the cue naturally, showing very smooth movements despite his young age.

Regarding how Jude plays snooker despite his height, Luke explained that initially it was quite challenging, and the family had to use tall chairs wherever possible. Later, they found a chair originally meant for cooking and used it to help Jude stand and take his shots.

When asked who would win if he played snooker against his dad, Jude confidently answered: “Me”.

Besides snooker, Jude is also an avid fan of Man Utd. His family said he is very fond of Bruno Fernandes and can sing the entire song Take Me Home, Country Roads. Luke revealed that Jude often amazes people when playing snooker at pubs or clubs, to the point that he has to mute videos or add music because of the cheers and astonishment from those around.

He also mentioned that although some think Jude’s shots are easy, he deliberately increased the difficulty, yet Jude still succeeded. According to his father, Jude took to snooker very naturally, like “a fish in water,” truly a gifted talent.
