Maguire's stay at Manchester United is a foregone conclusion, unless Rajue puts him on the list! The fans were conquered by the wind of its captaincy

According to Sky Sports United Kingdom, Manchester United's 31-year-old centre-back Harry · Maguire will not leave the club this summer. The England international was once thought to join West Ham United last summer, but negotiations eventually fell apart over treatment and compensation, with Harry Maguire staying and saving manager Erik ten Hag.

Maguire was on the bench at the start of the season, but with Lisandro · Martinez constantly injured, he quickly became a key figure in the team. Not only did he play as a regular player, but he also scored crucial goals for Ten Hag. He played 31 games in all competitions last season, including 21 in the Premier League.

At the end of the season, Harry Maguire missed out on the European Championship finals after failing to recover from a calf injury that prevented him from finishing the season better. Although there have been rumours in the summer window that Manchester United may sell the "big head", no real buyer has emerged, and unless there is a major change, the £80million defender is more likely to stay in the squad. Sky Sports' Manchester United reporter Melissa · Reddy confirmed: "We know of one person who won't be leaving Manchester United, and that's Harry Maguire."

Prior to last season, Maguire faced mixed reviews from Manchester United fans, with repeated ridicule and even boos. But with his performance, he regained the hearts of most fans. Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is also pleased with his form and excellent work ethic, and it should not be surprising that he will stay for another season. In particular, Manchester United centre-back Lima and new signing Lenny · Yoro are all injury concerns, and the team needs a reliable replacement, while Evans is 36 years old and Lindelof is about to leave.

Maguire's contract expires in June 2025, but the club has the option to extend it for another year. The Red Devils could trigger this clause so that they could still recover a reasonable amount of money from his sale next summer.

An official video released by Manchester United shows Harry Maguire's role in the squad, as he took the initiative to welcome the youngsters to the pre-season training camp, greeting and shaking hands with everyone. Despite his shortcomings, Maguire always gives 100 per cent and is a good professional who can set the perfect example for his younger team-mates. Absolutely first-class behaviour and the right mentality are exactly what fans want from a young player.

In the warm-up match for Manchester United, fans called on Ten Hag to reinstate Maguire as captain despite the fact that Maguire no longer wore the captain's armband and Casemiro was the captain on the pitch. "He behaved like a leader." One fan said, "That's the captain I want to be."

Maguire said missing out on the European Championship was a big blow to him. 'It was a very difficult moment in my career, probably the toughest so far, and I trained hard all year to try to get on the pitch at the end of the season and play in these big competitions, cup finals and European Championships to win titles for my club and country. I feel like I'm in a great state physically and mentally to play at the highest level. However, it was a very difficult time for me to face the setbacks of the injury. There's no escaping the Euros, but luckily I have good friends, family and support. I enjoyed the holiday and of course, like I said, it was a mentally tough time for my career. I managed to watch the games and they were such important games and especially since I've been a big fan of England all my life, so it's really hard not to be able to play."

But he won't leave Manchester United unless the club makes it clear they want to sell: "Unless the club tells me they want to sell me or the club doesn't need me anymore. As far as I know, United's actions show that I'm part of the future. Now it's time to keep up the good work and make the club successful again and challenge for a major trophy. That's what we're asking for at our club."

Regarding the rumors that he was purged, Maguire said he didn't care. "According to rumours, every summer and every transfer window, Manchester United will have 15 players leaving and we will bring in 45 more players. I think every player knows what's going on. I only have one year left on my contract with the team and I still have options, but if they come to me and say they don't need me anymore, of course I'll look elsewhere for options, but no one ever told me that. It's an exciting time for all members of the club and the club is definitely back in the right direction. As a player and someone who cares about the club, it's really nice to see results like this."

Speaking about stripping him of his captaincy and even wanting to sell him at one point, Maguire still showed respect in public. "We have a good relationship and we respect each other. I was really disappointed when he changed captains, but it's part of football, you go through a lot of ups and downs and you have to be respectful. We have a deep friendship, respect each other and get along very well. He's shown that United can beat top teams and we've won two trophies in two years. The first season was really good, but last season was not. Eric [Ten Hag] was also tough, there was a lot of uncertainty and a very staggering number of injuries, but I'm pretty confident it won't happen this season. We have confidence in the new management team and the players we have brought in are good."
