Sunflowers bloom, uniting strength for the future: The 2025 Zeng Xuelin Cup fosters harmony between able-bodied and disabled athletes in the Bay Area.

On December 20th, the "Sunflowers Bloom, Uniting Strength for the Future — 2025 Zeng Xuelin Cup Laiskoton Charity Football Friendship Match" officially began at Shenzhen’s Futian Middle School. This competition, linking football with charity and featuring inclusive participation of able-bodied and disabled athletes, connected teams from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Thailand to build a cross-regional communication platform. It fueled youth football growth and the integration of Bay Area sports culture while demonstrating the compassion and strength inherent in sports charity.

This event was jointly guided by the Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation, the Shenzhen Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, and the Shenzhen Care Action Organizing Office. It was hosted by the Guangdong Wanli Celebrity Football Club and fully supported by Wanli Tire Co., Ltd., combining professionalism, charity, and inclusiveness.

Continuing the original mission of the series of charity events, the tournament not only provided an equal football competition platform for diverse groups but also became a key vehicle for promoting mass sports participation and cross-regional cultural exchange.

To fully embody the event’s principle of "everyone’s participation and integration of able-bodied and disabled," the competition innovatively established two main categories: youth and adult groups, running parallel five-a-side and eight-a-side formats to accommodate a diverse range of participants.

The youth category focused on nurturing school football, allowing young players to hone their skills on the pitch and build team spirit, precisely aligning with the "Care for the Next Generation" guidance. The adult category brought together regional walking teams, city representative squads, and special groups, enabling able-bodied and disabled athletes to compete side by side, breaking down barriers and vividly conveying the spirit of equality and respect in sports.

Staying true to its charitable roots, the event featured a heartwarming moment as the Guangdong Wanli Celebrity Football Club and Wanli Tire Co., Ltd. jointly donated football equipment to youth players, supporting their football dreams. Wanli Tire, deeply committed to disability charity for years, earned the "Enthusiastic Support for Disabled" plaque in recognition of its tangible contributions, writing a new chapter for the brand’s social responsibility through concrete actions.

“This event not only honors the football spirit of Mr. Zeng Xuelin but also represents Wanli’s concrete commitment to supporting charitable sports,” said a representative of the Guangdong Wanli Celebrity Football Club. Looking ahead, they plan to continue using football as a bridge to engage more social forces, deepen integration between able-bodied and disabled athletes, support youth football talent development, and promote cultural exchange in the Bay Area, allowing the flower of charity to bloom alongside the sport of football.
