Although he did not mention Manchester United directly, the message was quickly interpreted by the media and fans as the Danish striker signaling that his choice to leave Old Trafford for Napoli was absolutely the right one.

Hojlund joined Napoli in the summer of 2025 on loan from Manchester United, with an obligatory purchase clause that could be triggered next year. This transfer sparked much debate, especially since Hojlund was initially believed to want to stay at Man United.
