Liverpool’s record signing, Alexander Isak, will be sidelined for an extended period due to a lower leg fracture.

The "Red Brigade" striker underwent successful surgery to fix the broken bone, identified as the fibula, after sustaining the injury during Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Isak scored the opening goal for Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, immediately following a collision with home defender Micky van de Ven, the Swedish forward required immediate medical attention.

The Dutch center-back’s challenge was not intentional, but the strong impact caused Liverpool’s number 9 to experience severe pain while lying on the pitch.
