Vietnam team recently faced FIFA sanctions, losing several key players

Hoàng Thái Bình is the next to part ways with Thanh Hóa FC following the club’s transfer ban.

Not long ago, Thanh Hóa FC was temporarily prohibited from making transfers by FIFA. Specifically, FIFA has issued a decision banning Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC from registering new players for three consecutive transfer windows, starting from November 2025.

The likely cause of the sanction stems from a dispute between Thanh Hóa FC and Brazilian player Igor Silva. The defender, born in 2000, played for the club during the 2024/2025 season. It appears that Igor Silva may not have received full financial settlements after leaving the club, leading him to file a complaint with FIFA, which resulted in Thanh Hóa’s temporary transfer ban.

Not only coach Choi Won Kwon but also former Vietnam national team captain and center-back Quế Ngọc Hải have said farewell to Thanh Hóa. Despite signing a three-year contract, after five months, Quế Ngọc Hải was allowed to leave to find a new club in the second half of the season.

The next confirmed departure from Thanh Hóa is defender Hoàng Thái Bình. He has been a key figure in the club’s defense for many seasons. Hoàng Thái Bình impressed fans with his consistent, aggressive performance, calm mentality, strong individual defending skills, and quick counterattack speed.

For some time, Thanh Hóa FC has faced financial difficulties, resulting in unpaid wages for both players and coaching staff.
