FIFA year-end top 20 rankings: Europe dominates with ten teams, South America has four, Africa two, and Asia two.

FIFA announced the 2025 year-end national team rankings, where Spain, the European champion, and Argentina, the South American champion, occupy first and second places respectively, followed by France in third, England in fourth, Morocco leading Africa at eleventh, and Japan topping Asia at eighteenth.

  • 7th: Netherlands
  • 8th: Belgium

Among the top twenty FIFA national team rankings, Europe holds ten spots, making up half the list, proving that European football remains the heart of world soccer; South America has four strong teams; North and Central America & the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia each have two teams, with Iran’s twentieth place surprising some fans.

Note: China's national team ranks 93rd in FIFA and 14th in Asia.
