Coach Kim Sang Sik: 'The goal for Vietnam U23 is to perform well at the AFC U23 Championship'

On the morning of December 22, during a brief press conference after SEA Games 33, Coach Kim Sang Sik shared about the journey to winning gold with Vietnam U22 and clarified the goals and preparations for the 2026 AFC U23 Championship finals.

Coach Kim Sang Sik affirmed that 2025 is a special milestone in his coaching career, having led both the Vietnam national team and U22 team to claim three championship titles. The Korean coach shared that before SEA Games 33, he and the players agreed to compete with a spirit of responsibility and honor—not only for themselves and the team but also for their country.

"We kept that promise. I am proud of the players and grateful to the fans who have always supported U22 Vietnam," Coach Kim said. He also expressed gratitude to the Vietnam Football Federation for their timely support during the team’s competition in Thailand, especially in ensuring good living conditions and nutrition for the players.
