Messi erupts in reaction when asked about 'bedroom matters'

Lionel Messi caught the spotlight by straightforwardly reacting to a delicate question in an interview, amid his holiday and ongoing achievements with Inter Miami.

Lionel Messi reportedly lost his temper with reporters after being asked a sensitive question about "private matters" during an interview. The Argentine superstar is currently enjoying his mid-season break after leading Inter Miami to win the MLS Cup this season and has been frequently appearing in the media lately.

Right after the “GOAT tour” across 4 cities in India, Lionel Messi took part in a TV show and answered questions from two hosts. However, the MCs tried to steer the conversation toward his marital life, asking the Argentine star to share about his personal relationships. Staying calm, the former Barcelona player firmly rejected the question and reacted sharply, calling it an unserious topic:

“Wait a minute, are you serious? Are we really going to talk about such a ridiculous subject? Did you come all this way just to ask this?”, Messi responded.

Messi has long been known as a private person, always trying to keep his personal life away from media scrutiny, despite being considered one of the greatest footballers in history. In 2023, he declined an attractive offer from Saudi Arabia to move to the US, believing this environment would provide a more stable family life.

Recently, Messi has continued to achieve major successes. He won both the MLS Golden Boot and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2025. Additionally, Messi signed a new 3-year contract with Inter Miami and is expected to stay with the club until the end of the 2028 season.

According to reports, Inter Miami is in talks with Argentine defender Marcos Rojo ahead of the 2026 season, aiming to strengthen the squad after an impressive 2025 season, when they won the MLS Cup for the first time in history. They secured the MLS Cup championship.

According to TNT Sports Argentina, Rojo (Messi’s former teammate) is one of the names Inter Miami is considering to reinforce their defense. The 35-year-old currently plays for Racing Club but has not been regularly used since joining the team in August.

Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano has given the green light to sign defender Sergio Reguilon and extended the contract of striker Luis Suarez. Signing Rojo (another former teammate of Messi) would certainly attract Mascherano’s attention, especially if the defender, who once played for Manchester United, fits the club’s long-term plans for the 2026 season and beyond.
