
The Four-Team Football Tournament is organized by Thai Nguyen province in collaboration with the Vietnam Football Federation at the Thai Nguyen Provincial Stadium (Dai Phuc commune) from December 21 to 27. The competition features four clubs: Hanoi FC, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club, The Cong Viettel Club, and PVF People's Public Security Club.
The tournament is conducted according to the football rules of the International Football Association Board (IFAB). The teams will compete in a single round-robin format to earn points and rankings, with awards for the Champion club, runner-up, third place, and Fair Play award. Additionally, the organizers will present other prizes including Best Referee Team, Top Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Best Player, and Best Foreign Player, with total prizes valued at 700 million VND. Notably, free tickets are distributed to all spectators, and the matches are broadcast live on television for fans to follow.
Mr. Bui Van Luong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, stated that the Four-Team Football Tournament is not only a sports event but also a symbol of unity, honesty, sportsmanship, and dedication. It helps promote the positive values of football while affirming Thai Nguyen's capability, reputation, and vision in organizing large-scale sports events aligned with regional and international standards.
The tournament is part of a series of activities celebrating the 14th National Party Congress, major national holidays, the successful 1st Provincial Party Congress of Thai Nguyen for the 2025-2030 term, the 81st anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2025), and the inauguration of Thai Nguyen Stadium.

Immediately following the opening ceremony was the match between The Cong Viettel Club and PVF People's Public Security Club. Earlier in the late afternoon, Hanoi FC played against Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club with a final score of 1-4. The next matches will take place on December 24 and 27.
