An Indian billionaire stunned everyone worldwide by giving Messi an extraordinary and rare present, one of a kind across the globe.
Lionel Messi traveled to India last week to begin a four-day journey called the "GOAT tour" (Greatest Of All Time tour). El Pulga's presence turned every place he visited into a fervent hotspot, with fans' enthusiasm reaching chaotic levels.
At the final stop of the trip, the 38-year-old star received a warmer welcome when invited to visit the Vantara Global Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center in Jamnagar.
This center is owned by Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, and his son gave Messi an extremely valuable gift. Anant Ambani presented Messi with a highly rare Richard Mille watch, a model limited to only 12 pieces worldwide.
The limited edition watch that the Barcelona legend received is the Richard Mille 003-V2 GMT Tourbillon “Asia Edition,” featuring a black carbon case and intricate skeleton details. Messi quickly tried on the watch and was seen wearing this luxurious accessory immediately after receiving it. Valued at £825,000, it became the newest addition to Messi’s expensive watch collection. Previously, he was spotted wearing a Pink Barbie Daytona worth £700,000 and a Rainbow Daytona worth £505,000.
Messi’s tour in India will conclude on December 23, and he expressed his feelings in a heartfelt Instagram post:
“Namaste India! It has been wonderful to visit Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. Thank you for the warm welcome, incredible hospitality, and the love everyone showed me throughout the trip. I hope football has a bright future in India!”.
Messi’s South Asia trip took place just over a week after he and Inter Miami won the club’s first-ever MLS Cup championship. Although finishing third in the Eastern Conference, the team owned by David Beckham surged to the final against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
In the final match, Inter Miami defeated the Canadian team 3-1, securing their third title since Messi joined the club in 2023. So far, Messi has helped Inter Miami win the MLS Cup, Supporters’ Shield, and Leagues Cup. This latest trophy also raised his career total to 44 titles — an extraordinary achievement.
