Meanwhile, Head Coach Mai Duc Chung along with players and staff from the northern group arrived at Noi Bai Airport at 18:20 on the same day.
At SEA Games 33, the Vietnam women's team demonstrated a fighting spirit, resilience, and strong determination, overcoming many opponents to reach the final.
After 120 minutes of regular play ended in a 0-0 draw, our female players were defeated in the penalty shootout 5-6, earning the Silver Medal in the women's football event at SEA Games 33. Notably, the players fought bravely against the physically stronger Philippines women's team.
Although they could not successfully defend their championship title, the whole team left a strong professional impression and showed great dedication, receiving significant recognition and support from domestic fans.
After returning, the players will have time to rest before rejoining their clubs and focusing on the next important goals for Vietnamese women's football in the near future.
