Coach Popov remained reserved after the 2-2 draw between The Cong Viettel and PVF-CAND in round 11 of the LPBank V-League 2025/26. In particular, he gave very brief answers to the media and did not comment as extensively as usual.

When asked to assess the players’ performance, Coach Popov responded briefly: "Nothing to say. My job is to talk about football."

Regarding the travel incident that caused the team to arrive late at the PVF stadium, the Bulgarian coach expressed clear frustration: "What happened today was ridiculous."
