In Group A’s three matches, Beijing faced Sichuan. Although the first and third sets were somewhat challenging, Beijing’s superior skills and clutch plays secured a straight-sets 3-0 sweep. Jiangsu delivered an explosive performance against Yunnan, excelling in both offense and defense, resulting in a lopsided victory with no set allowing Yunnan to score more than 16 points. Henan pulled off a stunning upset against defending champions Tianjin, led by powerful attacker Zhu Ting, relentlessly breaking through Tianjin’s defense. Henan won 3-0 straight sets, marking the biggest surprise since the tournament began. Zhu Ting’s impact was immense—she single-handedly carried the team!

In Group B’s three matches, Guangdong faced strong Shanghai but showed no advantage on the court, quickly becoming overwhelmed. Guangdong suffered a heavy 0-3 defeat, failing to score more than 15 points in any set. Fujian narrowly lost the first set to Liaoning but bounced back by winning the crucial points in the second set to even the score 1-1. Fujian then took control of the match, dominating both offense and defense, pulling away to win the next two sets and complete a 3-1 comeback over Liaoning. Against Zhejiang, Shandong faced tough challenges in the first set but eventually secured it after a fierce battle. Riding that momentum, Shandong steadily increased pressure and built a comfortable lead, ultimately winning 3-0 with a solid performance!
