Brazil's Coach Admits One Thing After Beating Indonesia at the World Cup

Coach Dudu Patetuci acknowledged that Brazil U17 faced challenges against Indonesia's defense.

The U17 Brazil coach, Carlos Eduardo Patetuci, expressed his satisfaction following the 4-0 victory over Indonesia U17 in the group stage of the 2025 U17 World Cup. This result secured Brazil U17's spot in the knockout rounds. Despite the convincing win, Coach Dudu Patetuci emphasized that the match was not easy.

Brazil U17 struggled in the first half against Indonesia's tight defense, which deployed many players at the back. However, patience paid off as Brazil scored three goals in the first half. Coach Dudu Patetuci stated that Indonesia fought hard because they genuinely wanted to earn points in this game:

"In the first half, we faced a very tough battle with Indonesia. Since Indonesia suffered a loss, gaining a point in this match was very important for them,"<*!> Patetuci said after the game.

"They caused us many difficulties, so we had to stay patient, seize the right moments, and attack at the proper time. We took advantage of our chances, and this is a very important victory in our journey to advance," he added.

"We played very well, executing exactly what we practiced. We knew it would be tough to face a defensive line of five players from Indonesia U17. Brazil U17 had to remain patient, which is something we have been training for, and I am very pleased."

Brazil U17 still managed to overcome their opponents to win 4-0 overall

The 44-year-old coach also gave special praise to all his players:

“I feel satisfied, and I take this opportunity to congratulate the players.” With this result, Brazil U17 gained more confidence heading into their final group match. Meanwhile, Indonesia U17 still has a chance to fight for survival in this prestigious tournament.

Brazil U17 had already secured qualification with two wins and a goal difference of 11. Meanwhile, Indonesia U17 still has a slim chance to advance since 8 out of 12 third-placed teams with the best records will move on. In the last round, Indonesia U17 will face Honduras, who also lost their first two matches.
