Vo Anh Quan revealed his ambition to attend SEA Games 33 and earn a spot in the starting lineup.
On November 6th, coach Kim Sang Sik announced the list of 26 players for the Vietnam U22 team’s fourth training camp in 2025, preparing for the CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025 international football tournament and aiming towards SEA Games 33, which will be held in Thailand this December.
Although he was not called up to the Vietnam national team during the October training camp like some other U23 teammates, Vo Anh Quan remains the first choice for the left flank when selected for the U22 Vietnam squad. This season, Vo Anh Quan and PVF CAND experienced their debut in the V-League, and the defender born in 2004 also scored his first goal in Vietnam’s top-tier league.
Defender Vo Anh Quan could not hide his happiness upon being included in the call-up list for the Vietnam U22 national team during the November FIFA Days training camp. He also set personal goals. Quan said:
"I feel very happy and honored to be called up to the Vietnam U22 national team. This training camp is crucial for the whole team to prepare thoroughly ahead of SEA Games 33. The upcoming friendly matches will help players gain more confidence and practical experience. The pre-SEA Games camp also allows the team to live and train together, which helps us understand and bond with each other both on and off the field.
I aim to give my best performance during the U22 Vietnam training camp, hoping to secure a spot in the SEA Games 33 squad and ultimately compete for a starting position."
After 10 rounds, PVF-CAND’s results have not met expectations. Quan believes now is the time for the team to unite and support each other to overcome difficulties.
"After every match, our whole team encourages one another. Now is the moment for all members to come together and face challenges as one. More importantly, we need to maintain a strong fighting spirit to improve our results."
