Young forward Lee Williams earned compliments from Coach Huỳnh Đức after the victory over Đà Nẵng on the evening of November 5th.
On the evening of November 5th, CA TPHCM club secured a narrow 1-0 win against Đà Nẵng, temporarily climbing back to 5th place in the standings. In this match, young striker Lee Williams was again trusted by Coach Lê Huỳnh Đức to start and played the full 90 minutes.
This marked the third consecutive match where the Vietnamese-origin player started from the beginning. After the game, Coach Huỳnh Đức praised him for his energetic performance, which greatly contributed to the team's victory:
"Williams showed a much better performance today compared to previous matches. He worked hard, moved intelligently, and applied significant pressure on the opponent's defense. His energy caused Đà Nẵng’s goalkeeper Văn Biểu several difficulties when distributing the ball from his own half.", Coach Huỳnh Đức stated.
Born in 2007, Williams Lee stands 1.90 meters tall, with an English father and a Vietnamese mother. Before returning to Vietnam, he played on loan for Warrington Town (English sixth division) from Stockport County and appeared in the English League Cup 2024/25 season.
Currently, the 2007-born player is still adapting to the pace and style of play in the V-League. If he quickly develops good chemistry with Tiến Linh, he could become a key piece in Coach Lê Huỳnh Đức’s attacking plans in upcoming matches.
