Round 10 of V-League: Ninh Bình solidifies top spot

Winning 1-0 against SLNA on their home turf secured Ninh Bình another valuable 3 points to keep their position at the top of the table following round 10.

Playing their second consecutive home match, Ninh Bình’s sole aim was to win and preserve their standing in the league. However, SLNA proved to be a tough opponent.

After relentless attacking efforts, Ninh Bình finally reaped the rewards when substitute Gia Hưng scored a golden goal in the final minutes, securing full points for the home team.

Unlike Ninh Bình, Hải Phòng, who are pushing for a top 3 spot, suffered a defeat against hosts Becamex TP.HCM despite having won three consecutive matches previously under coach Chu Đình Nghiêm. This loss cost Hải Phòng the chance to replace Thể Công Viettel in third place.

Meanwhile, Becamex TP.HCM has shown a remarkable transformation under new coach Đặng Trần Chỉnh. With 4 points gained from two matches against top-half teams Ninh Bình and Hải Phòng, Becamex TP.HCM is displaying very impressive form.

Also in round 10 of the 2025/26 V.League, returning to their home ground Hàng Đẫy after a loss in round 9, Hà Nội FC was determined to win and quickly get back in the title race. In their fourth match under coach Harry Kewell and with Đỗ Hoàng Hên playing his fourth game, Hà Nội FC showed much more vibrant and rapid attacking play.

In the first half, Hà Nội FC took a 2-0 lead over PVF-CAND with goals from Daniel Floro and Đỗ Hoàng Hên, both assisted by Luiz Fernando. After gaining the advantage, Hà Nội FC continued to press forward, and their efforts in the second half were rewarded with two more goals, one by Hoàng Hên and another by substitute Phạm Tuấn Hải.

In another notable match, Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh secured their second consecutive home win, this time against HAGL, strengthening their position in the upper group of the standings. Over the past two seasons, Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh has been regarded as a V.League phenomenon thanks to their disciplined and solid style of play.

The two latest matches of round 10 in the 2025/26 V.League, Đông Á Thanh Hóa vs Công an Hà Nội and Thể Công Viettel vs Thép Xanh Nam Định, are scheduled for February 24, 2026.
