Leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation visited, encouraged, and delivered gifts to support the Thai Nguyen Football Association in overcoming the aftermath of the recent storms and floods.
On the morning of November 5th, a delegation from the Vietnam Football Federation, led by Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Hội – Standing Member of the Executive Committee of VFF – visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to support the Thai Nguyen Football Association in recovering from the recent storm and flood damages. The delegation also included Mr. Nguyễn Minh Châu – Deputy General Secretary of VFF, Mr. Lưu Quang Điện Biên – Head of Training, Grassroots Football, and Member Organization Department of VFF, along with representatives from several functional departments of VFF.
During the meeting, on behalf of the VFF Executive Committee, Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Hội expressed deep sympathy for the damages caused by the storms and floods to the people of Thai Nguyen province in general and the local football activities in particular. In the spirit of mutual support within the Vietnamese football community, Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Hội, representing VFF, handed over a donation of 50 million VND to help the Thai Nguyen Football Association recover from the natural disaster, stabilize, and restore football activities in the area as soon as possible.
Representing the locality, Mr. Lưu Công Sơn – Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Football Association – sincerely thanked VFF for their timely concern, sharing, and support. He reported that immediately after the storm, the Thai Nguyen Football Association quickly implemented comprehensive recovery measures and coordinated with members to assess the actual situation. Fortunately, the Thai Nguyen Stadium – a newly completed project about to be put into use – was not significantly affected by the natural disaster.
According to the plan, the inauguration ceremony of the new stadium along with the Four Kings Football Tournament – Thai Nguyen 2025 will take place on December 21st. This event is part of the series of activities celebrating the successful first congress of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; it also marks the lead-up to the 14th National Party Congress and commemorates the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2025).
Earlier, in early October, a delegation from VFF led by General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú held a meeting with provincial leaders and the Thai Nguyen Football Association to coordinate and support preparations for the Four Kings Football Tournament – Thai Nguyen 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú highly praised the locality’s thorough and professional preparations; he also confirmed that the new Thai Nguyen stadium meets all the standards required to host national tournaments. Additionally, General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú affirmed that VFF will closely cooperate with provincial professional agencies to finalize the tournament regulations, organize media activities, and contribute to the successful, safe, and effective hosting of the Four Kings Football Tournament – Thai Nguyen 2025.
