Robert Lewandowski confirms he has regained his form after injury and is focused with Barcelona on securing a win against Club Brugge, emphasizing the importance of consistency and teamwork.
Barcelona arrived in Belgium today, preparing for the crucial UEFA Champions League match against Club Brugge in the early hours of November 6. After a series of wins following the El Clasico defeat, the Catalan club aims to maintain their momentum.
Before the final training session at Ciutat Esportiva, coach Hansi Flick and veteran striker Robert Lewandowski appeared before the media. Lewandowski spoke about his fitness after injury and his future at Barcelona: “I feel good after the injury, physically very well. The most important thing is that I can help the team win.”
The Polish striker, under contract until 2026, states that his top priority now is the team’s and national squad’s success, not personal matters: “I am calm about the future. For now, I focus on helping the team win matches and earn titles.”
Lewandowski admits he faced difficulties recently due to fitness issues, but believes he has returned to peak form: “I had some injuries, but the last two weeks of training have been very good. When playing as a team, we are very dangerous and can win titles. I know I can contribute.”
The 37-year-old striker also highlights the importance of stability and team spirit: “It doesn’t matter how you start the season, but how you finish it. If we play as a team, the results will come.”
Lewandowski also talks about his relationship with young teammates like Lamine Yamal and newcomer Marcus Rashford, stressing their progress and potential: “Marcus is playing well, but he can still improve. We need consistency for the team to get stronger.”
Ahead of the match against Club Brugge, Lewandowski stresses the importance of every point: “Every point is valuable. The match won’t be easy, but if we get 3 points, that’s the best outcome.”
Although Lewandowski has scored only 4 goals in 10 games this season, he remains confident he will make a vital contribution to the team: “I can’t play as much as before, but when I’m on the pitch, I will make the most of the chances. We need to win, no matter how, and I believe Barcelona will return to their best form.”
Barcelona now aims to secure all 3 points to strengthen their position in the group, with Lewandowski leading the attack and inspiring the whole team.
