Naturalized midfielder Đỗ Hoàng Hên is prepared to represent the Vietnam national team if coach Kim Sang Sik offers him the opportunity.
“I am very happy with this victory. It is a very important win. I’m glad to have contributed two goals,” Đỗ Hoàng Hên shared after the match against PVF-CAND on the evening of November 4th.
Regarding the match, the newly naturalized Vietnamese player said: “We played really well, although it’s unfortunate that we can’t always get the desired results. But this win truly means a lot to the whole team.”
Scoring a brace is a positive sign showing Hoàng Hên is gradually regaining his form after a long period without playing. Notably, this was also the first match of the season where he played the full 90 minutes.
When asked about coach Harry Kewell, the 1994-born midfielder praised him highly:“I think he has a great mindset. The coach understands the players very well because he was once a great player himself. Working with him is a pleasure, and I believe all of us trust Harry Kewell’s philosophy and always follow that direction. We believe we can keep improving, and I think this is just the beginning.”
There are many rumors that Hoàng Hên might be called up by coach Kim Sang Sik to the Vietnam national team during the upcoming November FIFA Days. Although he may not play immediately in the match against Laos, the Hanoi FC midfielder will have the chance to get familiar with the team atmosphere and the philosophy of coach Kim Sang Sik. Sharing more about this, Hoàng Hên said:
"I am ready to support and assist coach Kim Sang Sik. If he needs me, I am always available. Of course, it would be a great honor if I get the opportunity to be part of the team.”
