FIFA dismisses the appeal, maintaining the penalties imposed on the Malaysian Football Association and the 7 naturalized players.
On the evening of November 3rd, FIFA's Appeals Committee issued a decision to completely reject the appeal filed by the Malaysian Football Association (FAM) and the 7 naturalized players regarding the disciplinary sanctions previously imposed by FIFA's Disciplinary Committee.
According to FIFA's conclusion, the 7 players—Gabriel Felipe Arrocha, Facundo Tomás Garcés, Rodrigo Julián Holgado, Imanol Javier Machuca, João Vítor Brandão Figueiredo, Jon Irazábal Iraurgui, and Hector Alejandro Hevel Serrano—along with the Malaysian Football Association violated Article 22 of FIFA's Disciplinary Code, involving falsification and forgery of documents to legitimize their eligibility to play for the Malaysian national team.
After reviewing all documents, evidence, and conducting a hearing, FIFA's Appeals Committee decided to reject all appeals and uphold the penalties previously imposed by the Disciplinary Committee, specifically:
– The Malaysian Football Association (FAM) is fined 350,000 Swiss Francs (CHF);
– Each of the 7 players is fined 2,000 CHF;
– These players remain suspended from all football-related activities for 12 months.
