'3 Clubs That Could Prevent Arsenal from Winning the Premier League This Season'

Former defender Nigel Winterburn admitted he knows well that the fight for the Premier League title is still ongoing. He also identified three teams that might block Arsenal from winning the crown this season.

The last time Arsenal won the Premier League was in 2004, and in the past three seasons they have finished as runners-up. In the 2025/26 season, the Gunners have started impressively, currently leading the Premier League table, 4 points ahead of second-placed Bournemouth, and 5 points ahead of Tottenham and Sunderland, who are third and fourth respectively.

I believe the Premier League title race this season is still very much alive. Arsenal’s main rivals are Liverpool, Man City, and Chelsea. Right now, Bournemouth are playing very well, and Tottenham is also chasing closely. But I don’t think they will be serious contenders.” 

The supercomputer SiE recently predicted the Premier League title race this season, forecasting Arsenal as champions but with a modest points total. Specifically, the supercomputer expects Arsenal to win with 80 points. Man City is predicted to finish second, followed by Liverpool (both with 69 points). Chelsea holds the last spot in the top four with 60 points. Notably, Manchester United is only expected to finish 10th with 57 points. The three teams predicted to be relegated are Nottingham, West Ham, and Wolves.

Arsenal’s next Premier League match is an away game against Burnley. This should not be a difficult fixture for Arsenal since Burnley has just returned to the top English division. Given Arsenal’s current strength and form, they should be able to secure 3 points to reinforce their top position in the table.
