The game between HAGL and Thể Công Viettel in the 8th round of the 2025/26 V-League featured a memorable moment as Ryan Hà, the French-Vietnamese midfielder, scored his debut goal for the mountain city club.
Joining HAGL before the 2025/26 season, Ryan Hà quickly showed his passion and dedication during training. He impressed at the 2025 Thiên Long Cup, where HAGL tested a youthful lineup combined with some new signings. Due to his consistent performance and smart play, the coaching staff trusted him with an official contract opportunity.
And he made the most of that chance. In the recent match against Thể Công Viettel, Ryan Hà started on the bench but immediately made an impact when substituted in. At the 61st minute, from a counterattack down the left flank, the French-Vietnamese midfielder powerfully struck with his left foot from a tight angle, scoring to make it 2-0 and helping secure HAGL's victory.
This goal not only carries sporting significance but also marks a strong comeback milestone for Ryan Hà after years of perseverance chasing his professional football dream in Vietnam.
Ryan Hà is no stranger to Vietnamese football fans. Born in 1997 in France to a Vietnamese family, he was trained at local clubs and the Edusport academy (Scotland), and spent some time playing in lower European leagues. However, his career in Europe did not leave many remarkable marks.
In 2023, Ryan Hà decided to return to Vietnam to seek opportunities to prove himself. He consecutively played for Khánh Hòa, Becamex Bình Dương, Hà Nội FC, and PVF-CAND. Despite being highly regarded for his technique, football intelligence, and adaptability, his time in the V-League was full of challenges.
At Bình Dương and Hà Nội FC, Ryan Hà struggled to secure a starting position. In the 2023/2024 season, he only played a total of 32 minutes for the capital club before his contract was terminated. Moving to PVF-CAND with hopes of helping the team achieve promotion, the squad finished third, and Ryan Hà had to start over again.
With his first goal in the V-League, Ryan Hà has partially justified the trust that HAGL placed in him. The 1997-born player is expected to be an energetic and creative piece in the midfield of the mountain city team, which is currently in the process of rejuvenating its squad.
HAGL's victory over Thể Công Viettel, along with Ryan Hà's first goal, not only secured valuable 3 points but also opened a hopeful new chapter for the French-Vietnamese midfielder in his journey to establish himself in the V-League.
