Forward Bryan Mbeumo mentioned that the “dedication and unity” within the locker room have been crucial for Manchester United’s recent return to good form.
Against Brighton, Man Utd displayed a fiery attacking performance. Within the first 45 minutes, Ruben Amorim’s squad took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Matheus Cunha and Casemiro. Early in the second half, Mbeumo shone again by scoring to make it 3-0, bringing the Old Trafford side closer to their third consecutive victory. Although Brighton fought back strongly with two goals from Danny Welbeck and Charalampos Kostoulas, Mbeumo completed his brace to seal an emotional 4-2 win for the “Red Devils.”
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Mbeumo expressed his happiness about his initial period at Man Utd: “I really enjoy playing here. The beginning was not easy, a new environment and high expectations, but thanks to the bond with my teammates, everything is heading in the right direction.”
The 26-year-old star also emphasized that Man Utd’s recent success is not down to luck but the result of hard training and a strengthened team spirit. He added: “We have worked very hard on the training ground, and that is the most important thing. Everything shown on the pitch comes from what we practice. The whole team is getting to know each other better, and we will keep improving.”
When asked what caused Man Utd’s improved performance compared to the start of the season, when they only won 2 out of 7 matches across all competitions, Mbeumo confirmed: “It is the effort and team unity, that is the key. We always try to stick to the plan and play the best football possible.”
The 26-year-old forward also affirmed that he came to Old Trafford to face big challenges. Mbeumo emphasized: “I like challenges. I came here because this is a big club, and I want to fight for the highest positions.”
Mbeumo’s brilliance not only brought goals but also boosted positive energy in the dressing room, where Amorim is gradually building a disciplined, united, and hungry-for-victory team. If they maintain this form, the “Red Devils” can certainly return as genuine contenders for a Champions League spot next season.
