Ahead of this weekend’s El Clasico at Santiago Bernabéu, Lamine Yamal has once again drawn attention with his controversial statements about Real Madrid.
During the Kings League program, a competition founded by Gerard Piqué, the 18-year-old Barcelona striker openly criticized their long-time rivals: "Real Madrid both steals and complains," suggesting that the Royal Club often benefits from referee favoritism. This is not Yamal's first dig at Real Madrid. Previously, he said "Madrid can’t stand Barca" after Blaugrana won the Spanish King’s Cup final last season.
