Mbappe receives a significant boost ahead of the clash with Barca

Kylian Mbappe secured a distinguished accolade prior to Real Madrid's encounter with Barcelona.

Following a series of outstanding performances recently, Kylian Mbappe surpassed his teammates to be named Real Madrid's best player for September. The French forward scored 10 goals in six matches, playing a major role in helping Los Blancos lead La Liga and maintain an unbeaten run in the Champions League.

After receiving the award, Mbappe expressed satisfaction with his form and hopes to continue working with his teammates toward positive results in the near future.

The superstar born in 1998 shared: "I feel deeply honored to be voted Player of the Month once again. The entire team has achieved many victories, scored numerous goals, and is on the right track. We are truly pleased with our current form and the results we have accomplished. Hopefully, the team will keep up this momentum.

This week is very significant for us. The recent match against Juventus was important, but the upcoming Sunday clash is even more special. We hope the fans will continue to support and cheer as usual. They understand the importance of this game, and so do we; we hope everyone will come together to make it a memorable day."

This is considered a major boost for Mbappe as he prepares for his fifth El Clasico in his career. In his previous four encounters, the 2018 World Cup winner suffered defeat in all matches with Real, which only fuels his desire to secure his first victory against the Catalan team.

Mbappe added: "This is a match everyone looks forward to. At the club level, there is no bigger rivalry. It can be compared to a top-level Champions League game, but within the domestic league, nothing matches Real Madrid versus Barcelona. However, we don't just want to participate in this game; our goal is to win."

Currently, Mbappe has scored 15 goals across all competitions and temporarily leads the La Liga top scorer chart. Therefore, if they defeat Barcelona in the upcoming match, the French striker and Real will extend their lead over their rivals by five points, gaining a major advantage in the title race this season.

The match between Real Madrid and Barcelona will take place at 22:15 tomorrow night (October 26).
