Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that while he wants Joshua Zirkze to remain at the club after the January transfer window, he has not ruled out the possibility of the player leaving the club in the winter window and Juventus are interested in bringing him in.
Since joining Manchester United from Bologna for €42.5 million last summer, Zirkze has endured a difficult period and disappointing performances. He was booed by Old Trafford fans in Manchester United's 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United and transfer rumours intensified. The clubs interested in bringing in Zirkze this month are reportedly Juventus, Napoli and his former club Bologna.
Juventus are the team that is most interested in the Dutch international, who is managed by the Dutch striker's mentor Thiago Motta. Italian transfer expert Angel Di Marzio recently revealed that the Serie A giants are in talks with Zirkze's agent, Horabuchin.
Zilkze, who was a substitute at Anfield and was not substituted until the final minutes of the game, played the ball past Harry Maguire, but the £80million defender fired wide. After the game, he was applauded by the travelling United fans, while Amorim also said he wanted Zirkze to stay at United. "I want to keep Zirkze because he gave everything. He's working hard in training, but we don't know, the transfer window is open...... We're going to see what happens."
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes also expressed his support for Zirkze. Fernandez said: "We believe in Zirkze. He's going to take time to get used to, but he's definitely strong. What happened against Newcastle United...... I'd rather be in that situation than see my teammates like that. I was in the stands and I had never seen anything like it, which really frustrated and annoyed me because he is a player who always gives his all."
Manchester United's 27-year-old winger Marcus Rashford missed Anfield due to illness, and the double red club has not played in a sixth consecutive game. According to Italian media, AC Milan have opened talks with Manchester United for it. A move to Barcelona is out of the question, and the Rossoneri could be one of their best options.
United are said to want to rent and sell now, with the loanees needing to agree to a mandatory summer buyout, but in the meantime, the Reds will also have to pay the majority of Rashford's wages, which are up to £325,000 a week.
Sky Sport Italia reports that Milan believe Marcus Rashford could be used as a replacement for Rafael Leao, as well as Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham. However, Ibrahimovic has told his former club that the Rossoneri will certainly not be able to afford to pay him €7 million a year for the second half of the season, and that United must subsidise his salary during the loan spell.
The Red Devils made such a deal when they loaned Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund last season, paying a large portion of the England winger's salary. If the club adopt a similar strategy with Rashford, it could help AC Milan sign him this month.
The British "TEAMtalk" claimed that Manchester United had also made contact with Serie A leaders Napoli, and in the negotiations, Manchester United not only mentioned Osimhen, but also considered Kvaratskhelia. Osimhen is sure to leave Napoli this year, while KK77 are also set to move in the summer if a new contract is not agreed, and the Red Devils are keeping an eye on his condition.
