Creating a masterpiece for Truong Tuoi Dong Nai, the former HAGL player remains humble

Coming off the bench due to Ho Thanh Minh’s injury, former HAGL player Tran Minh Vuong turned the season opener for Truong Tuoi Dong Nai into his personal showcase.

Early in the second half, during the match between Truong Tuoi Dong Nai and Becamex TP.HCM in the first round of the National Cup, Minh Vuong was brought on by coach Nguyen Viet Thang.

Just five minutes after entering, the ex-Hoang Anh Gia Lai player unleashed a dangerous shot, signaling a spectacular performance ahead.

At the 63rd minute, from about 25 meters out, Minh Vuong executed a stunning free kick over the wall, sending the ball straight into the net to make it 2-1.

Not only that, at the 76th minute, Minh Vuong delivered a precise corner kick that teammate Luu Tu Nhan headed in to seal a 3-1 victory.

In a post-match interview, Minh Vuong stated: "This season, my goal and that of the entire team is to advance as far as possible in the National Cup. With our current squad, we will tackle each match together, aiming for the bigger objective of bringing Dong Nai back to the V.League next season.

I sincerely thank the Dong Nai supporters who came to cheer us on today. I’m very happy. Also, congratulations to HAGL for their win to advance."

Meanwhile, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai’s head coach, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, gave special praise to Minh Vuong:

"Today, I rate the whole team 10 for spirit, 10 for attitude, 10 for focus, and 6 for technical skills. For Minh Vuong, even a perfect 10 isn’t enough, which says it all."

In the round of 16 of the National Cup, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai will host Hong Linh Ha Tinh at home on November 22.

Prior to that, Minh Vuong and his teammates will begin their journey in the 2025/26 National First Division. The opening match against TP.HCM will also take place at Binh Phuoc stadium on September 20.
