Amorim swings the classic action of the Manchester United manager, full of helplessness! Onana dragged his opponent for 40 seconds

Not all of them are the same! Ruben Amorim has only led United to five games, but he can't hide his disappointment. In the 3-2 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest, he repeatedly struck the mocked gestures of his predecessors to express his displeasure with the performance of his players on the pitch.

Expressions of frustration are commonplace on the football pitch, but the number of such classic moves by successive Manchester United managers is a reflection of the team's long-standing problems.

In this game, the 39-year-old Portuguese coach thought that the team had conceded very badly, either from set-pieces or because of a series of mistakes that led to the opponent's goal. Despite two goals from Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes, they suffered their second defeat in four days. Old Trafford, already cold and damp under Hurricane Darra, has been exposed by the "storm" as Amorim said last week.

Amorim was frustrated: "It was a really tough game, we started really badly. The first time the opponent attacked, we conceded the goal. They also scored goals when we were struggling, so it was very difficult for the players to follow through with the pre-game set-up. We controlled the game, created some chances and then tried to make a difference in the second half and then missed the goal. When we suffer two of these goals, in this situation it's really hard to motivate the players and calm them down. The team worked hard until the end but didn't play at a high level and we couldn't score another goal and get at least one point."

On a positive note, United's new boss feels the team's attacking performance has improved. 'I think we improved in the final third, especially at the beginning of the first half. But we lost the game and didn't have a lot of chances to score. We played a bit of a routine, especially if you saw our first goal. The team has to continue to improve in many areas and we have to win games to help improve the team."

However, after being scored from two corners by Arsenal, the Reds were scored from another corner by Nottingham Forest, much to Amorim's disappointment. "We spent two days training on this issue and the opponent still scored like that, so it was very difficult for the team. The whole team has taken a hit, and you can feel it. Everybody in the pitch is affected by that ball, you can have man marking, you can use the tallest player to mark the high point of the opponent, but the opponent will also block your tallest player, so it doesn't matter whether it's the man to man or the zone defense, we need to improve."

The awareness of the United players was a bit confusing, and in the final minute of stoppage time, goalkeeper Andre Onana took a free-kick from midfield, but wasted a full 40 seconds due to the location of the kick-off.

Ironically, the ball was placed in the place where the foul was fouled, and it was put by Mason Mount himself, and there was absolutely no problem with it, and he could just kick it off. Onana had to move the ball forward, the referee asked him to step back, and he didn't step back and wasted nearly a minute. When the Red Devils were a goal behind, Onana did so, and the Nottingham Forest players all snickered.

After Marcus Rashford gave away Arsenal's corner, and Onana was the "regent" in this game and helped the opponent to drag out the time, Amorim admitted that the team did have too much to improve. "What do you see for improvement? A lot! In every situation in the game, I can see where United can improve as a team. It's a bad thing, of course, but it's also a good thing because I know what needs to be done."

Amorim, who has started with 22 different players from Manchester United in a short period of time in charge, explained: "You learn a lot every day and the best teams have to line up according to the opposition. You have to analyze each other and arrange the right players in each game. I know my players better and that's the most important foundation."

Manchester United will next win away to Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League before taking on Manchester City in the Premier League. Amorim remains confident: "We have to be like this, everyone here has been through the ups and downs of football and you have to keep working hard and do the same thing and believe in your way. Of course I was convinced, it was hard to lose, I knew the public and the fans wanted to win, we didn't win in a while and lost that feeling. We are on a long journey and will do it in the end. Now we have to focus on the next one, take it one step at a time, and move forward. As I said, there's a long way to go."
