In Group E’s second round, Canada faced Spain and endured intense attacks from their opponents. Despite trailing twice, Canada fought back to tie each time. They dominated the decisive set to win 3-2, securing their second consecutive victory and an early qualification for the top 16. In the other match, Turkey faced Bulgaria and encountered little resistance. After a narrow 2-point win in the first set, Turkey took control and crushed Bulgaria in the next two sets, sweeping 3-0 for two straight wins and the top spot in the group!
In Group F’s two matches, the Dominican Republic showed dominance against Mexico, maintaining overwhelming pressure throughout and quickly pulling away to a 3-0 victory, earning two straight wins and first place without dropping a set. In the other key match, China played Colombia in a challenging contest, unexpectedly losing a set and failing to keep a clean sheet, indicating insufficient pressure on the opponent. Fortunately, China still won 3-1, achieving two consecutive wins and securing early advancement to the top 16!
In Group G’s two matches, Germany took control against Vietnam with powerful attacks that overwhelmed the Vietnamese team, resulting in a straight-sets 3-0 win, their second consecutive victory and early qualification for the top 16. Meanwhile, Poland faced weaker Kenya, and despite their clear superiority, they surprisingly dropped the second set but won the other three decisively, finishing 3-1 and advancing early with two wins. Like China, Poland lost one set in both of their matches against weaker teams!
In Group H’s two matches, Japan faced Ukraine in a dramatic encounter, falling behind 0-2 initially. However, Japan’s resilience shone through as they dominated the final three sets to complete a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory, securing their second consecutive win and a spot in the top 16.
