Manchester United striker 2 shots and 1 pass, Amorim reminded that it still needs to be improved! The new tactics are more suitable for him, revealing the coach's instructions

Manchester United centre-forward Hojlund has revealed the guidance of new boss Ruben Amorim, who scored twice and provided an assist in a 3-2 Europa League win over Bodø. Among them, in the opening 48 seconds, "Freighter" tackled the goalkeeper in front of the opponent's goal and helped Garnacho open the scoring. Then the opponent scored two goals in a row to take the lead, but Hojlund scored twice in front of goal to bring a victory.

Hojlund summed it up after the race: "I'm both satisfied and not satisfied. It started well but then it was a bit bad and luckily we came from behind and showed quality. We didn't want to make sure it wasn't too intense and got the three points and we got the job done."

The 21-year-old Danish centre-forward has revealed what Amorim has to say about him. 'He told me not to think too much about the opponent behind you, but to make the most of the resources up front and play very aggressively, as you saw in the first goal. "I haven't seen the second goal yet, but I was told it was a beautiful goal, so I'm going home and watching the game now. I always try to stay in the little box and we've made some efforts on that. The coach reminded me at half-time to fight for the front post and it worked."

Referring to Amorim's 343 formation, Hojlund said he was a little familiar, reminding him of his old club Atalanta in Serie A, where coach Gasperini often played with three central defenders.

Hojlund explained: "It takes time to get used to the new tactics, but now you can see the discussion and it's getting better. However, after a difficult start, it will take time to adjust to the new season. We just have to build on that and for me it reminds me of playing in Atalanta when we played in a 343 formation and it suits me perfectly."

After scoring the goal, Hojlund celebrated in a "gladiator" style, a gesture that truly exemplified his fighting spirit in the game.

There is no doubt that Hojlund was voted the official player of the match and the best player voted by Manchester United fans. However, boss Amorim also reminded the young striker that there is still room for improvement in his skills.

Amorim explained: 'He has to improve more, he has to adjust too many times when he has the ball. However, he does a good job of linking up in the transition, he is aggressive in the opposition box, and he is a quality player. I'm happy for him, I think he's improved the tandem, he's the one who has the ball and connects with his team-mates in transition when we're in the low post. He's doing a great job, he's got that trait. I think he scored the most difficult goal. He has a lot to improve on, but it's the same for every player. He did a great job today."

The new United boss barely celebrated when he opened the scoring but happily shook his fist to celebrate Hojlund's first goal, and not only said it was because it equalised just before half-time.

Amorim explained: 'I'm more excited about the second goal, I think it's because we deserved it. First goal, you can't say we deserved it because the game has just begun. But the second goal, I think we controlled it well. We went through two turns and I think it was a very important moment in the game. It's like a race, it's like a journey, there are good moments, there are bad moments, and then there are good moments. Like I said, I think we deserve this victory."
