Coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Manchester United is formulating a long-term roadmap to return to the top of the Premier League.
Coach Ruben Amorim affirmed that Manchester United is creating a clear plan with the goal of winning the Premier League within the next three years. However, the Portuguese strategist emphasized that the team must take small, steady steps to move closer to glory.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Amorim admitted that the Red Devils are not yet ready to compete immediately for the Premier League crown. Nevertheless, he believes success cannot happen overnight but must be built through consistent effort in every match.

Amorim shared: “Our objective is to win the Premier League within three years. But to achieve that, we first need to take small steps: prepare for every match as if it were a final, play with passion, attack aggressively, and ensure fans are never bored watching us. We need to accumulate every small change, check off each item according to plan, and when we look back, things will have greatly improved.”
Manchester United is entering the first season under Amorim’s leadership with high expectations after a disappointing year finishing 15th on the table last season. The championship remains a distant goal, but aiming for a spot in European competitions is considered a more realistic short-term ambition.

New signings like Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo are expected to bring fresh energy and help MU get back on a competitive track. However, Amorim also frankly acknowledges: “At this club, every week brings a different story. We must be mentally prepared to block out external noise, focus on our work, and aim for victory.”
This weekend, Manchester United will visit Fulham with determination to earn their first points in the new Premier League season. The journey back to the top is long and challenging, but Ruben Amorim’s statements demonstrate ambition and steadfastness in the plan to restore the Red Devils’ glory lost over the past 12 years.
