Quang Hải shines brightly as CAHN secures a commanding 3-0 victory over Becamex TPHCM

CAHN recorded their opening victory of the 2024/25 campaign after a solid 3-0 triumph against Becamex TPHCM.

Following their loss to BG Pathum, CAHN found joy in victory by beating Becamex TPHCM 3-0 in the final match of V-League Round 2.

Right from the kickoff, CAHN dominated the play. In the 4th minute, Nguyễn Quang Hải delivered a razor-sharp pass that put Alan in an ideal position. The striker bypassed two Becamex defenders and fired a low, precise shot that beat goalkeeper Trần Minh Toàn, giving CAHN a 1-0 lead. The home crowd erupted at this classy combination.

After scoring, the pace of the game surprisingly slowed down significantly. CAHN maintained better control with several coordinated plays, while Becamex TPHCM failed to create any notable chances.

A major turning point came in the 40th minute when Becamex TPHCM’s Trung Hiếu received a second yellow card (equivalent to a red) for an elbowing foul on Quang Hải. With a numerical advantage, CAHN grew more confident. In stoppage time of the first half, Văn Đô skillfully back-heeled to Quang Hải, who then assisted Mauk Stefan for a header that narrowly missed the goal. The first half ended 1-0 with CAHN fully in control.

In the second half, Becamex pushed to increase the tempo, but being a man down made it difficult to withstand CAHN’s relentless attacks. In the 48th minute, Văn Đô showcased his skill again with a precise pass to Đình Bắc, but the striker’s close-range shot flew over the crossbar, much to the fans’ disappointment. Becamex responded at the 50th minute with Minh Bình’s shot, but it was off target.

For CAHN, after missing several chances, they finally scored their second goal. In the 63rd minute, Quang Hải combined well with Leo Artur before placing a gentle yet highly accurate shot into the net, making it 2-0. The goal was confirmed after VAR review, causing the stadium to erupt. Earlier, he had assisted Alan’s opening goal.

Not stopping there, CAHN sealed the victory in the 70th minute. Alan executed a perfect dribble and precise cross, allowing Leo Artur to easily tap the ball into the net, extending the lead to 3-0. Becamex had a rare chance in the 77th minute when Alves’ free kick struck the crossbar. However, that was all they could muster.

The 3-0 win earned CAHN their first 3 points and temporarily lifted them to second place on the standings, while Becamex TPHCM remains in the safe zone, having earned 3 points from their opening match against HAGL.
