Quang Hải shone brightly as CAHN triumphed over the home team Becamex Ho Chi Minh City in round 2 of the V-League.

The composure and class of the stars came through at the right moment, enabling Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) to claim a resounding 3-0 victory on Becamex Ho Chi Minh City's turf in round 2 of the V-League.

CAHN overcame Becamex Ho Chi Minh City and currently ranks second in the V-League.

Immediately after the main referee's whistle, both teams launched into the game at a very high tempo, promising an exciting match. A surprise almost happened in the 2nd minute when from a cross by Minh Trọng of Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, defender Cao Văn Triền, trying to clear the ball, made a dangerous back header, forcing goalkeeper Nguyễn Filip to use all his skill to punch the ball away.

However, just a minute later, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City had to experience a "cold shock" from the visitors. From a textbook counterattack, Quang Hải delivered a deadly pass for Alan, who used his speed to break through Becamex's defense before finishing with a delicate one-touch shot into the far corner, opening the score 1-0 for CAHN in the 3rd minute.

CAHN defeated the home team Becamex Ho Chi Minh City 3-0 in round 2 of the 2025-2026 V-League.

The early goal allowed CAHN players to play with a relaxed mindset and completely control the match. Continuous pressure was applied towards goalkeeper Minh Toàn’s goal. Still, the home team Becamex Ho Chi Minh City showed they would not give up easily. In the 32nd minute, Zlatković had a great chance to equalize with a high header while unmarked, but the ball went directly to Nguyễn Filip’s ready position.

The turning point came near the end of the first half. In the 43rd minute, during a contest that was not very aggressive, midfielder Trần Trung Hiếu fouled Lê Phạm Thành Long. Losing his composure, the player reacted excessively and received two consecutive yellow cards from the referee, meaning a red card.

Playing with one less player, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City immediately faced difficulties. In the first added minute, Quang Hải delivered a skillful lob for Mauk, whose header narrowly missed the post. Right after, Đình Bắc and teammates kept attempting close-range shots but failed to overcome the home defense’s determination.

In the second half, the match became even more one-sided. CAHN, with the advantage of an extra player, completely controlled the game. In the 49th minute, fans witnessed one of the most unbelievable misses.

After a dazzling one-touch combination, Lê Văn Đô faced the goalkeeper and crossed perfectly, but from just a few meters in front of the empty goal, Đình Bắc astonishingly volleyed the ball over the crossbar.

However, the reigning champions didn’t have to feel regret for long. As Becamex Ho Chi Minh City was forced to push forward to find an equalizer, huge gaps appeared.

In the 62nd minute, from a 3-on-2 counterattack, Léo Artur made a clever pass for Quang Hải, who fired a precise left-footed shot into the far corner, doubling the lead. This goal confirmed the quality of the number 19 midfielder and almost ended all hopes for the home team.

Becamex Ho Chi Minh City's nightmare ended in the 71st minute. This time, Alan played the role of creator with a breakthrough run down the right wing before delivering a perfect cross for Léo Artur to easily tap in close range, sealing a 3-0 win for CAHN.

In the remaining minutes, CAHN still created a few chances but no further goals were scored. With this victory, Coach Mano Polking’s team has 4 points and temporarily sits second in the 2025/2026 V-League behind newcomers Ninh Bình.
